Conical twin screw and barrel
The conical design of the twin-screw barrel provides better mixing and homogenization of the plastic materials. The design helps to increase output and they are easy to maintain because of the self-wiping ability of screws.
We provide Conical twin screw barrels in size 45/99, 51/105, 55/110/ 55/120, 65/132, 80/156, 80/173,92/188, and 110/220.
1. Bimetallic Screw Barrel
Bimetallic screws and barrels consist of two different materials. The core material is typically a high-strength alloy steel, while the outer layer (the “bimetallic” part) is a wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant alloy.
The raw material of the screw: 38CrMoAIA,
Tempered hardness: HB280-300,
Surface: plasma surfacing nickel-based alloy, alloy thickness 0.8-2.0mm, hardness HRC55-65.
After finishing, the entire product is nitrided.
Usage: Suitable for PVC pipes, profiles, WPC profiles and sheet foam products, Suitable for PE and PP pipe extrusion.
2. SKD Screw Barrel
SKD61 is a high-carbon and high-chromium alloy steel known for its excellent heat resistance, toughness, and wear resistance. It is often chosen as the core material for conical twin-screw barrels due to its durability under the high temperatures and mechanical stresses encountered in plastic extrusion processes.
The Entire inner hole of the barrel except the feeding part, uses 6-8 mm SKD bushing.
