Bimetallic screws and barrels<\/strong> consist of two different materials. The core material is typically a high-strength alloy steel, while the outer layer (the “bimetallic” part) is a wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant alloy.<\/span><\/p>

Tempered hardness:<\/strong> HB280-300,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

SKD61<\/strong> is a high-carbon and high-chromium alloy steel known for its excellent heat resistance, toughness, and wear resistance. It is often chosen as the core material for conical twin-screw barrels due to its durability under the high temperatures and mechanical stresses encountered in plastic extrusion processes.<\/span><\/p>
